Bipartisan Group of Oregon Lawmakers Urge the DOGE to Nix Biden Administration’s Barred Owl Massacre

A group of four lawmakers — three Oregon State House Members and one Senator — have asked Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy tapped to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The lawmakers’ press release can be seen below, along with a link to the letter from the four rural lawmakers.

“Rural, range-state lawmakers are rightly calling on the DOGE to nix a $1.35 billion plan that has no chance of success and that is targeting a range-expanding native owl species,” said Wayne Pacelle, president of the Center for a Humane Economy and Animal Wellness Action. “The Trump Administration should put the kibosh on a Biden era spending plan that is as wasteful as it is cruel.”
