Earlier this year, Korean Air stopped carrying chickens to the Philippines for animal fights. No law made them stop. They did it because it was right.
Then criminals found a way around it. They now fly the birds through Vietnam and hand them to another airline. The birds still end up in cockfighting rings, where they are forced to fight until they die.
Help us ask Korean Air to block every fighting bird shipment, no matter the destination. Let’s Purple The Sky!

Meet the campaign캠페인의 얼굴
This is Haneul. His name means sky.이 친구는 하늘이입니다. 이름 뜻이 '하늘'입니다.
People raised him to fight, but he was lucky. We saved him. About 40,000 birds each year aren't so lucky. They are trapped in dark crates and loaded onto airplanes, shipped across the world to die in illegal cockfights.
The sky should belong to dreams and love, not dark crates filled with birds being sent to suffer.
When we purple the sky, we fill it with love, not suffering.
사람들은 싸우게 하려고 하늘이를 길렀지만, 하늘이는 운이 좋았어요. 우리가 구조했거든요.
하지만 매년 약 4만 마리의 새들은 그런 행운을 누리지 못해요.
어두운 상자에 갇혀 비행기에 실린 채, 불법 투계장에서 죽음을 맞이하기 위해 전 세계로 보내집니다.

These roosters are raised on farms throughout the United States — from California to Texas, from Georgia to Oklahoma. The fights happen on the other side of the world. The only way to get the birds there is on a plane. That means airlines have the ability to stop this.이 수탉들은 미국 전역의 농장에서 자랍니다 — 캘리포니아에서 텍사스까지, 조지아에서 오클라호마까지. 싸움은 지구 반대편에서 열립니다. 새들을 거기까지 보내는 방법은 비행기뿐입니다. 그래서 항공사에게는 이 일을 멈출 능력이 있습니다.

In April, Korean Air agreed to stop transporting fighting roosters from Dallas, Los Angeles, and Atlanta to the Philippines, where most of these cockfights happen.지난 4월, 대한항공은 댈러스·로스앤젤레스·애틀랜타에서 투계가 주로 열리는 필리핀으로 향하는 투계용 수탉 운송을 중단하기로 합의했습니다.

The smugglers now fly birds on Korean Air to Vietnam. There, they move them on to another airline for the last leg of the trip, to the Philippines.밀매업자들은 이제 대한항공으로 새들을 베트남까지 보냅니다. 그곳에서 다른 항공사로 옮겨 마지막 구간인 필리핀으로 갑니다.

We are not asking anyone to stop flying Korean Air. Quite the opposite. Fly them. We want you to be proud of who you fly. An airline that acts without being forced to is worth keeping, and worth asking more of.대한항공을 이용하지 말라는 요청이 결코 아닙니다. 오히려 그 반대입니다. 계속 이용해 주세요. 다만 더 자랑스러운 마음으로 탈 수 있기를 바랍니다. 강요 없이 스스로 움직인 항공사이기에, 요청할 가치가 있습니다.
