our corporate engagement process

CHE has developed a robust process for determining those corporations and entities that should be prioritized for engagement.

1

Issue Evaluation

The Center determines priority issues based on the numbers of animals affected and level of animal suffering.

2

Conducting Campaigns

Using research and partnerships, we lead campaigns on a number of corporate animal welfare issues.

3

Engaging Corporations

Companies are evaluated on their policies and practices regarding the specific animal welfare issue and we use our campaigns to convince them to transition from harmful to humane animal practices.

4

Educating Consumers

Using our campaigns in multiple media outlets, we alert consumers to corporate animal welfare issue transgressors as well as highlight innovators and companies leading their field in alternatives to animal use.

See the successes of our engagement strategies

Here, in this humane economy, human ingenuity meets human virtue, and we discover, at last, that we can have it both ways — a better world for us and for animals too.

— Wayne Pacelle, The Humane Economy: How Innovators and Enlightened Consumers Are Transforming the Lives of Animals
